The SC/ST cell of the college is reconstituted with the purpose to empower and safeguard the SC/ST students in our campus. The committee is fully committed to the standards and transparency in coordinating and providing the benefit of scholarships and schemes offered by Government of India. The Committee regularly organizes interactive sessions and informal meetings with students to attend to their personal, social and academic concerns.

The following higher officials and faculty members have been nominated as members of the committee as per the AICTE and UGC guidelines. The term of the members shall be for two years (till the end of academic year 2020-21).

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. To protect the rights of SC/ST students/staff laid down by the constitution of India in various provisions

2. To provide the mechanism to redress the grievances of SC/ST students, if any

3. To counsel and guide SC/ ST students and help them manage academic and personal issues of college life effectively.

4. The committee should take up issues regarding their timely promotion, betterment and welfare and present them to the higher authorities for necessary action.

5. To create awareness among the SC/ST students regarding various scholarships and programs of State Government and UGC.

6. The committee should review issues pertaining to scholarships or any other financial assistance provided by the Government from time to time.

7. To arrange for special opportunities to enhance career growth

8. To take follow−up measures to achieve the objectives and targets laid down by the Government of India, AICTE, University and the UGC.
